hey y’all. welcome to my monthly blog. in this blog, you’ll find that i discuss whatever i want cause it’s my blog, not yours <3 for this month, i thought i would go over my monthly favorites, aka what objects/shows/songs bring me instant joy.

joy can be found anywhere; from the shows you watch to the shoes you wear. for now i’ll just be mainly focusing on just things i use everyday, like different skincare i’ve tried or just knick knacks.

LABUBUS!!

this may be a hot take but I personally love labubus. if you’re not as chronically online as me, labubus are basically a monster/ rabbit hybrid made into a keychain by the brand POPMART. labubus are usually sold as blind boxes, so you don’t know which lil guy you’re going to get. although the price point being a little steep, i love how much character it brings to my bag. right now, it’s more popular in asia, with it being a “status symbol” with younger kids and even adults.

i cannot and i mean CANNOT leave me house without a pack of gum. my biggest pet peeve is having bad breath, so having a pack of mint gum is always reassuring to have on me. not only is it good for bad breath, its good when you’re anxious in public or if you need to stay awake. fun fact: smelling/eatings anything with mint in it helps keep you awake due to how strong it is. now you may be wondering, “meghan why do you like this flavor specifically? aren’t they all the same?” and the answer is pretty simple, the flavor just lasts the longest. I’ve tried all of the mint gum that exists under the sun, and I’ve found that this specific flavor lasts the longest and has one of the strongest mint flavor.

i would like to say, im pretty particular about what lip products I use. growing up, I was a firm believer that aquafor and vaseline is the best lip products to use, and for some people, that may be correct. BUT this lip product completely changed my perspective. it’s the perfect balance of hydrating your lips and not being super sticky. it leaves a minty feel on your lips that doesn’t burn and gives you that “freshly brushed teeth” feeling.

now i know the name is a little strange BUT let me tell you, this is the best thing I have ever smelled in my entire life. i know scent pallets are very subjective, but just hear me out. imagine it’s a hot, summer day in july and you’re spending the day at your grandparents house. after playing outside for what feels like forever, your grandparents call you in because they made their famous lemon vanilla cupcakes with a side of milk. that is what this smells like. although it’s meant to be a leave in a conditioner, i prefer to use it as a perfume and it gets me compliments everywhere. so if you like citrus-y gourmand scents, you’ll like this product.

ripples by beabadoobee

i would say my music taste changes daily. one day I’ll be listening to Beethoven and the next day it’ll be Radiohead. but for a certain, I would say ripples by beabadoobee has been in my current rotation of songs I repeat daily. by the time I am writing this, I have seen her live in concert, and let me tell you, hearing this song live is a different level. this song delves into themes of self-reflection, emotional vulnerability, and the complexities of personal growth, so if that’s your vibe, I highly recommend this song and to give her a listen if you like radiohead, smashing pumpkins and billie eilish!

slushy noobz

lastly, but certainly not least, that leads me to my favorite YouTubers to watch, slushy noobz. slushy noobz is a comedy/gaming channel which consists of martin (left) and hamzah (right). although I’m not huge on gaming, I really enjoy their creative sense of pure, dry, idiotic humor. if you like gaming and are just as chronically online as me to get niche references from online media, you should watch these two goofballs.
